Last season, it was the Minot North Sentinels who kept the Squirrels from a state title berth. This season, the Squirrels turned the tables. ADVERTISEMENT The Central Cass offense and defense were both electric Friday night in Sentinel Stadium, with the defense keeping the Sentinels to zero points and less than 50 total offensive yards in the first half. The Squirrels rode that salty start to a 25-7 victory in the state semifinals. Central Cass (8-3) plays Kindred (11-0) for the state title Friday, Nov. 13, at the Fargodome. The Vikings defeated the Squirrels 14-0 during the regular season. Senior quarterback Brody Kegley guided the Squirrels through a strong half in the air against Minot North, completing 14 of his 17 pass attempts with 90 passing yards gained at halftime. Central Cass led 22-0 at halftime. The second half saw the Squirrels extend their lead, with a field goal in the third quarter to lead the Sentinels 25-0. The Sentinels scored a TD late into the fourth quarter for the final margin.
